I began my health journey in 2003 when I enrolled in The Irish Institute of Nutrition and Health. I became a certified nutritional therapist in 2007 and went on to open my own digestive wellness center.
In 2009 I returned to the States to study acupuncture and oriental medicine at PCOM and I have been a body worker since 2010.
I have experienced intermittent insomnia since I was a young child. It comes and goes and tends to reactivate anytime I am stressed or experience life changes.
In 2020 insomnia returned with a vengeance and nothing I did made it any better, if anything the more I tried the worse it became! This sparked an epic learning journey, almost like a modern-day quest, that took me from breathwork to HRV, coaching, neurobiology, anxiety recovery, somatic therapies, mindset, polyvagal theory, hakomi and many subjects in between.
I trained in CBTi, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Buteyko Breathing, Oxygen Advantage, Conscious Connected Breathing, Sleep Coaching, Health and Wellness Coaching and Embodied Breathwork (just to name a few!)
My goal morphed from just healing myself to wanting a deep knowledge of the mechanisms of stress and insomnia, why it occurs and what to do about it so that I could help others.
Currently, I divide my time between Southern California and Mexico. I work virtually with clients as I continue my never ending educational journey.
